What is a letter of invitation?
This is something you've got to have if you want to
visit Russia. This is an official letter a Russian resident (organization or
individual) must send to you. If you turn up at your closest Russian consulate
or embassy, it will somehow assure the authorities there that you won't make any
trouble or get into trouble. Or even if you do, somebody else will take
responsibility and they won't have to bear the blame. The official letter of
invitation must include specific personal information about the invited person
(you), like your name, passport details and your date of birth, as well as the
city of stay in Russia, and name of the hotel you're planning to check into. It
will assure the consulate staff that your intentions are good and that there's
somebody out there in Russia to take care of you. A letter of invitation is a free bonus we provide for every traveler who comes to Russia for some travel services.
