    Primorskii Krai, located in the extreme southwestern Russia, is bounded on land by Khabarovsky Krai, the People's Republic of China and Democratic People's Republic of Korea. On the east and on the south the area is washed by the Sea of Japan. Primorskii Krai drew character from the Sikhote-Alin mountains, the shoots of East Manchuria mountain country and the incredibly beautiful coast of the ice -free Sea of Japan. Well-pronounced altitudinal zonality of vegetation cover and heterogeneous composition of the same types of plants in the various parts of their common area! are the most typical features of Its appearance.
    The first explorers and travelers paid their attention to unique nature of Primorskii Krai. Today each of us can explore this amazing region in Russia. Even the pickiest tourist, who has an eye for beauty will find his private quite corner allowing him to interact with taiga stow, a multi-color steppe landscape, a rapid river, a watershed glaring in the sunlight, a cozy bay with a glorious beach and the mysterious underwater world.
    Both the toughest tourists and just beginners are always fascinated by the Sikhote-Alin landscapes in northern Primorje (North-East and partially East Primorje, Bikin ecotourist areas). The belt of mountain tundra occupies vast areas, its low border goes on the continental slopes of the Sikhote -Alin ridges, from 1,100 to 1,300 meters. On the coastal slopes, by comparison, it rises around 600 to 700 meters. Cranberry, blueberry, manzanita, crowberry, tiny little willows, rhododendron, and other plants stand against the background of bog moss and lichen. Probably it will be the first time when many tourists see them. Japanese stone pine occupies the lower spaces. The belt of fir forests covers vast massifs from the bottom of mountains up to 900-1,000 meters at their highest. Jeddo spruce and abies, the main species of this belt, grow on the slopes with different exposition and steepness. Broad-leafed and coniferous forests occupy the middle belt in the mountains. Korean pine dominates in these woods. Besides, many species of fir, fime, birch and maple are found here. Tree-like lianas such as grape,
