The ecotourism is one of the most important types among various tourist activities in Primorski! Krai. Activities include marine tours, active rest by sea and on Islands including underwater tourism.
Primorski! Krai is rich of tour resources. One can explore almost the entire coastline of the Sea of Japan. But experts consider that the landscapes of Kievsko-Partizansk and Samarga-Kuznetsov shorelines as well as certain places of the Peter the Great coast, in particular islands, are more picturesque and attractive. A sharply dissected coastline's contour is typical of the southeastern part of Primorye (Kievsko-Partizansk shoreline). It can be viewed even from deck of the large passenger ocean-going ship. High abrasive scarps (with kekurs and beautiful rocks) alternate with the narrow bays and beaches that makes the eastern part of the Sikhote-Alin slop, from Povorotny cape up to Dalny cave, full of glamour.
Samarga-Kuznetsov coastline, the second beautiful area, is famous for its inimitable contrasts of landscapes and large scales. The higher mountain massifs, vast basalt plateaus, and large valleys of river mountains are concentrated here. Various combinations of south and north plants make these places more unique.
Even the most unprepared tourist will notice how often various maritime landscapes change each other northward of Sosunov' cave to the Venyukovka River. The leveled coasts stretched northward of the Venyukovka River up to the Yellow River. Seacoasts are occupied by valleys with low marine terraces and vast wetlands broken by lagoons, lakes, and bogs. Vegetation is very unique here: terraces are forested with fir trees and Erman's birch, and wetlands are covered with birch grooves.

The coast from Sosunov's cave up to Olimpiada cave is unforgettable. One is amazed at a plenty of high coastal scarps dissected by steep valleys with traces of large collapses, landslides, and wastes.
